Validate Transactions for Each Chain

Producers MUST validate that constructed bytes conform to chain-specific serialization and field constraints.

Purpose

Ensure that transactions meet the specific requirements of each blockchain where they will be deployed, so chain-specific differences do not cause unexpected transaction behavior or outcomes.

Audit Procedure

Verify that the Producer validates data according to the requirements of a specified deployment blockchain

Success Criteria

The Producer tests that a transaction is valid for a specified blockchain

Best Practice

The Producer allows one or a set of target blockchains to be configured for a transaction. Where it has a User Interface, this provides

• guidance on specific requirements for each blockchain
• alongside each transaction produced, an attestation for which blockchains the transaction is valid

Failure Criteria

The Producer does no chain-specific validation for transactions
