Statement of Requirement

Producers MUST bound gas/fee estimates within configurable limits and reject transactions exceeding thresholds without explicit approval.

Provide control of the risk that transaction costs are unexpectedly high

Audit Procedure

Verify that the Producer allows Users to set gas/fee limits, and reject transactions that exceed those limits

Success Criteria

The Producer enables Users to configure gas/fee limits, and rejects transactions whose cost exceeds those limits

Failure Criteria

• There is no mechanism for the User to set gas/fee limits
• The Producer does not enforce those limits (also failing Apply Transaction Policies to Generation)
